When the feminism movement started - it was about equal rights for women - something I would of supporter. Now it's just a TAKEOVER. Evidence supports this.
Look at the choir of boys and men. Four in existance over Kent and two of those are in Cathedrals and two are in Parish Churches (one of those seems to be dying out).
I have no issues with having two choirs. One for boys and men and one for females, so long as the female one does not takeover. The reason that boys and girls can't co-exist in choirs is because of science - tonality differences and differences with how they learn and interact.
For me, this is personal. As a boy, I was fortunate to grow up in the choir of boys and men at the Collegiate Church of All Saints, Maidstone - then directed by the legendary Peter Richards, who I have full respect for and taught me everything to know about music. Without the knowledge he gave me, I would not be releasing albums.
Feminists claim that an all male choir is sexist and they should have female ones instead. Isn't that just as sexist? Apparantly not according to mainstream society - so in May 2016. Expect an announcment for a campaign to oppose modern day feminism.
